The objectives of the prestation Certification of electrical products for the Gulf States (G-Mark) :
Apave Certification is a competent organisation to test, register and certify products for the Gulf countries market.
The regulation applies to mains-powered electrical equipment.
The G-mark requirements aim to prevent any risk of electric shock or safety risks for users. Apave Certification is notified to test, inspect and certify your low-voltage electrical and electronic products, and the certificate is valid for 3 years.

The list of electrical products covered by this certification includes the following 13 categories:
- Household electric fans
- Refrigerators, freezers, and other refrigerating or freezing equipment
- Centrifugal clothes dryers and washing machines, including machines that both wash and dry
- Food grinders and mixers, fruit or vegetable juice extractors
- Toasters
- Electrothermic hair-dressing appliances and hand dryers
- Electric heating appliances for domestic use
- Microwave ovens
- Other ovens; cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grills and roasters
- Instantaneous or storage electric water heaters and immersion heaters
- Electric smoothing irons
- Plugs, socket outlets, adaptors, extension leads and chargers
- Air conditioners

Apave Certification is notified by the GSO (Gulf Cooperation Council Standardization organisation) to issue this certification.
What is the "G-mark"?
G-Mark certification is a necessary condition for the sale of low-voltage household and similar appliances in the countries that make up the GCC, the Gulf Cooperation Council.
G-Mark certification is a mandatory requirement that is added to the safety standards and procedures already in force in the following six Arab countries:
- Saudi Arabia,
- Kuwait,
- Bahrain,
- Qatar,
- United Arab Emirates,
- Oman,
- Yemen.

With this certification, manufacturers, exporters, or authorized representatives must demonstrate that they comply with the safety and quality standards in force in this area, as well as the additional GSO requirements, contained in the Gulf Technical Regulation for Low Voltage Electrical Equipment and Appliances BD-142004-01 (Gulf Technical Regulation for Low Voltage Electrical Equipment and Appliances).
With this certification, manufacturers, exporters, or authorized representatives must demonstrate that they comply with the safety and quality standards in force in this area, as well as the additional GSO requirements, contained in the Gulf Technical Regulation for Low Voltage Electrical Equipment and Appliances BD-142004-01 (Gulf Technical Regulation for Low Voltage Electrical Equipment and Appliances).
Periodicity
Certification of electrical products for the Gulf States (G-Mark) is valid for three years, after which the applicant must submit a new renewal application to maintain their certification.
The certification does not require production surveillance.
