Prerequisites for obtaining

The "Biodiversity Signature;" label demonstrates a high level of commitment in an environmental approach.
A set of prerequisites (including the completion of an EPC - Environmental Performance Diagnosis) is required to qualify for the "Biodiversity Signature" label.

Benefits of Biodiversity Signature;

Apave Certification, a third-party recognition body independent of the Apave Group, is the sole labeling body for the "Biodiversity Signature" label.

To help you structure your approach and enhance the value of your actions, Apave Certification allows you to validate the award of the Signature Biodiversité label step by step.

The Signature Biodiversité label is a tool that allows you to integrate all ecological networks into your projects, in order to commit to an approach that promotes biodiversity.

It offers project leaders and the various stakeholders a guarantee that biodiversity issues will be taken into account and a mark of quality and confidence in the operational implementation of actions to preserve and protect biodiversity.

  • The ‘Signature Biodiversité ’ label promotes eco-responsible actors who place nature at the centre of their priorities.

  • It is an identifying feature that guarantees that ecological networks are taken into account in development projects and/or operations.

  • Stages and process

    To obtain the ‘Signature Biodiversité , Apave Certification has developed a 4-step methodology:

    1. Validation of the required premises
    2. Application submission, eligibility and admissibility of the file
    3. Initial labelling audit
    4. Delivery of the labelling and promotion kit
    5. Follow-up audit after 3 years

    Level of performance

    The Signature Biodiversity label can be obtained at 3 levels of performance:
    - Environmental Commitment Level / Bronze Dragonfly
    - Environmental Development Level / Silver Dragonfly
    - Environmental Excellence Level / Gold Dragonfly
    Periodicity
    The "Biodiversity Signature" label is issued for a period of 5 years and is divided into 2 phases:

    - An "initial audit" that validates the design and delivery of the site (valid for 3 years).
    - A "follow-up audit" extending the label by 2 years and allowing to highlight the site management, commitment and implementation of a continuous improvement approach.
    At the end of the 5 years, you can renew your label application with Apave Certification.
