In partnership with the town of Anglet, OFFICE64 of the habitat is building a social residence for senior citizens, comprising 34 apartments for people who want to stay close to their usual place of residence while maintaining their independence and social ties.
As part of the company's homecare policy, the new residence is designed to meet the shortage of suitable housing between seniors' current homes and retirement homes.
The apartments are equipped with a complete home automation system, as well as all the technical solutions required to ensure the comfort and safety of the elderly and to support them as their state of health evolves.
The project also includes a pedestrian network with forecourts around the future building, and underground parking.
An innovative housing offer that responds to a societal issue:
- The number of people aged over 75 in Anglet will multiply by 1.4 by 2020, and the number of people aged over 85 will double.
- Nearly 40% of people aged 75 and over living at home live alone in Anglet.
- The dependent elderly population could double by 2020.
- 2 times fewer potential carers per person over 85 to be expected in the coming years.

This residence has been designed to be fully home-automated. The aim is not only to adapt the home to ageing and accessibility, but also to offer personalized services.
Through the computer network (IP network), a touch-sensitive tablet makes daily life easier. It can be used to control lighting, roller shutters, path lighting, etc.
Apave Certification's Haute Sécurité Santé (HS2®) label is designed to help elderly or frail people stay in their own homes, or to accommodate them in new or renovated accommodation.
OFFICE64 is committed to the HS2®, Haute Sécurité Santé (High Health Security) label, in order to meet the needs of seniors by offering housing adapted to their comfort and safety (social ties, adapted living spaces, personal services, etc.).
