The FNCH, the driving force behind horse racing in France
The National Horse Racing Federation (FNCH) is at the heart of the horse racing world in France. It oversees the two main disciplines: gallop racing and trotting, and coordinates the activities of 226 racing companies across the country. Its objective is twofold: to support racecourses in organising races and to contribute to the improvement of horse breeding.
To accomplish these missions, the FNCH is involved in several key areas such as strategy, budgeting, promotion, etc. It also ensures compliance with regulations and legislation.

One of the FNCH's key roles, as part of its regulatory remit, is the fight against doping, as this is essential to preserving the integrity and credibility of races. Anti-doping controls must be reliable, transparent and trustworthy.
The Eqade label therefore guarantees the reliability of all anti-doping control procedures, which cover three stages:
- Sampling: how samples are collected.
- Analysis: the work carried out in the laboratory.
- Investigations: how positive cases are handled, from anonymity to the publication of sanctions.
The Eqade label therefore certifies the rigour of the controls, the reliability of the analyses and the impartiality of the decisions.
It is intended for all entities that play a role in the organisation and implementation of the anti-doping plan through what is commonly referred to as the French Racing Institution (website, organisation, racecourse, breeder's website, etc.).
The benefits of a bespoke label

Apave Certification designed this label with the FNCH as part of a tailor-made creation process.
Apave Certification is able to support a key player (professional federation, group, integrated network, franchisor, etc.) in creating a comprehensive system for its own label, by conducting a comprehensive study of all aspects of the project and carrying out audits as a recognised and independent body.
Creating a label is an effective way of entrusting the assessment of your network to an independent third party that will be able to measure the level achieved by the various members of the network/sector/group, etc. And beyond being a strong recognition for customers and stakeholders, it becomes a powerful driver of progress through regular assessments. The results are easy to compare, leading to continuous improvement.
